The cashew instead of being a nut, is actually the seed of a fruit called the cashew apple.

Cashew Butter (Grid #3 or #4 depending on fineness desired)

Use well dried cashews at room temperature or warmer. Triturate only. Fill the housing loosely with cashews. Hold the pusher over the cashews before turning on the Norwalk. Triturate using light pressure on the pusher. Keep the housing partially full at all times to prevent throwback. When finished, leave the pusher in the feed tube until you have turned off the Norwalk.

Cashew Meal (Grid #1 or #2 depending on fineness desired)

Triturate only as with nut butter. Ground cashews are used in candies, cakes, fillings, desserts, or for toppings on salads, casseroles, and cereals.
