Use Grid #5 for flours.
Insert the proper GRID for the flour or cereal desired. Place a plastic bag over the mouth of the housing secured by a rubber band to keep the finely ground flour from escaping into the room.
Fill FEED PAN with the desired amount of grain. While triturating, be sure to keep some produce in the housing at all times to prevent throwback. When finished, leave PUSHER in housing until motor is turned off. Turn on motor and allow grain to feed through.
Cracked wheat and coarse ground cereals go through very rapidly. Finer grinds go through slower with the finest grind being the slowest of all. Never use pressure on the pusher in making flour or cereals. This will cause the motor to overheat and may cause serious damage.
NOTE: Grain with high moisture content will clog the grid. Use thoroughly dry grain for flour. If necessary dry it in the sun, food dehydrator or in the oven before grinding.
The housing may heat up while grinding grains and cereals. This is normal.
NOTE: Never grind more than you are going to use immediately. to prevent nutrient loss store in whole form.
