BABY FOODS AND PUREES
One of the most rewarding things you can do with your NORWALK is to prepare pureed foods for your baby.
Baby can be supplied the recommended diet of cooked meats, raw and cooked fruits, and vegetables by putting them freshly through the NORWALK.
An easy and economical way of providing these foods is to take small portions from your regular meals and process them in the NORWALK to be eaten by baby with the family or stored in the refrigerator for the next meals.
As your little one becomes older you may prepare junior foods the same way using larger GRIDS.
Commercial baby foods can be quite expensive.
The cost is insignificant when feeding baby this way. You know the food is fresh and you know exactly what the ingredients are.
A number of parents have told us that they have saved the entire cost of their NORWALK with feeding just one baby.
Cook produce first unless you are using soft fruits and vegetables.
Fill housing loosely before starting the motor. While triturating, be sure to keep some produce in the housing at all times to prevent throwback. When finished leave pusher in housing until the motor is turned off.
Purees may be used fresh for pies, cake fillings, and toppings for ice creams or desserts.
Puree also makes delicious jams and marmalades.
