NUT & SEED BUTTERS
NOTE: Raw nuts and seeds must be thoroughly dry and at least at room temperature before they will make butter.
GRID #4 works best for most seed butters and hard nuts such as almonds.
Fill HOUSING with nuts, start MOTOR and let most nuts feed through without using PUSHER. With very hard nuts such as almonds, using the pusher with gentle pressure might be necessary.
It is not necessary to add oil to make creamy nut butter in the NORWALK. Be sure to keep the HOUSING full of nuts at all times to avoid throwback by the CUTTER
The first material coming through will be in the form of ground nuts which will quickly turn to nut butter. Occasionally it may be necessary to maintain a light pressure with the PUSHER to get the process started.
Some items that can be ground into nut butters:
- Brazil Nuts
- Macadamia Nuts
- Sesame Seed
